Delta Zeta

Gamma Lambda Chapter

San José State University

ABOUT

—Our Chapter—

The Gamma Lambda Chapter of Delta Zeta at San José State University was founded in 1948. As one of the oldest sororities at San José State, Delta Zeta recently celebrated its 70th anniversary on campus.

Delta Zeta is the largest international sorority in the world, and Delta Zeta members have the privilege of traveling the country meeting new sisters and visiting our National Headquarters.  Our chapter has several traditions that we celebrate yearly.

About

Service

—Philanthropy—

Delta Zeta National has two philanthropic causes that chapters all over the world dedicate service hours and raise funds for, which are The Painted Turtle Camp and The Starkey Hearing Foundation.

The Painted Turtle Camp is our National Service Project and is a summer camp for children with serious medical conditions. With the help of Delta Zeta's contributions, each camper is able to attend free of charge.

The Starkey Hearing Foundation is Delta Zeta's Service Partner as we come together with Starkey to give the gift of hearing to individuals in over 100 countries.

OUR FIRM

Scholarship

& Leadership

Our chapter is dedicated our sisterhood as a whole, as well as each individual sister in her colligate journey toward a degree. Scholarship programs and academic excellence are a major part of Delta Zeta's mission to its members.

In addition, our group of sisters seek to empower others outside of the chapter through university-wide leadership programs. As a chapter, we strengthen the importance of seeking additional personal-development and growth in external university programs.
